Former Fellow Dr. David Juste: New Project on "Astronomical and Astrological Manuscripts of Claudius Ptolemaeus" granted by the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities


On November 16, 2012, the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities granted a new project for a total of 25 years centering on "Astronomical and Astrological Manuscripts of Claudius Ptolemaeus". Responsible for the project is Prof. Dr. Dag Nikolaus Hasse (Univ. Würzburg) with his two colleagues Dr. David Juste (Univ. of Sydney, Former IKGF Visiting Fellow) und Dr. Benno van Dalen (Univ. Frankfurt a.M.). The research of Dr. Juste is centered on medieval astrology and he contributed and contributes with his engagement to shaping this research focus in Erlangen. We are delighted that research on medieval astronomy and astrology will take a major step forward through the newly granted project and congratulate Dr. Juste for the opportunity of continuing his research under the auspices of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities!
